About the Journal

CULTURA - Revista de História e Teoria das Ideias (CULTURA Journal) is an interdisciplinary journal converging the perspectives of history, philosophy, political thought and literary studies. It deals with political, religious, scientific, economic, social, aesthetic and philosophical ideas and practices in their forms of expression and dissemination, with emphasis on the connection between the Portuguese and the Iberian, Brazilian and Ibero-American context.

CULTURA is published by CHAM Publishing, a university press specialising in the open access publication of high-quality books and journals in the Humanities. In alignment with the mission of CHAM – Centre for the Humanities of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (NOVA FCSH) and the University of the Azores (UAc), its primary objective is to disseminate innovative research that adheres to the highest standards of quality and scholarly rigor, promoting inter- and transdisciplinary approaches while covering a broad geographical and chronological range.
