Abstract
Survey carried out in 2011 by a Syrian mission at the location of the artificial lake, which should supply the Halabiyeh dam at the top of the Kleb el-Hima plateau (site no. 12 in the numbering established by the work of the Syrian-Spanish mission)
The plateau formed by solidified volcanic layers on the gypsum substrate at an average of thirty-three meters above the Euphrates.
The results obtained attest to the presence of four periods of occupation: Paleolithic/Neolithic; third and second Millennium B.C., Roman-Byzantine, XIXth, and XXth of our century.
