Políticas e critérios editoriais

EDITORIAL POLICY

NOVALing is published online through the Open Journal System (OJS) platform and under an Open Access policy. Submissions are subject to double-blind peer review before publication.

Articles submitted for publication must be original and should not be pending on evaluation for publication elsewhere. The authors must hold all the necessary rights and licenses concerning the submitted data or materials.

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

All the submitted articles are first assessed by the Editorial Team, in order to guarantee their originality and the compliance with the editorial criteria, as well as their adequacy to the journal's aims and scope.

In a second stage, articles are submitted to a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers are selected by the Editorial Team, based on their expertise, merit and adequacy to the scientific area of the article.

Articles assigned with two positive evaluations by the reviewers will be considered for publication. Publication is, however, conditioned by the limit number of articles published in each number of the journal. Articles receiving two negative reviews will be rejected for publication.

In case there is lack of agreement between the two reviewers' decision (a positive and a negative review), the article will be assessed by a third reviewer.

ETHICS AND CODE OF CONDUCT ÉTICA

In order to garantee good ethical practices in publishing, NOVALing follows the Code of Conduct and Rules for Good Practices for Journal Editors from the Comittee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
