This paper aims to investigate new possibilities of writting, using a particular biopoem work entitled The Xenotext, by Christian Bök. This is made by invoking Flusser's ideas around technology, writing and communication to improve and reflect on the discussions about biopoems and, likewise, the associated phenomenon of live writing. Flusser reflects on the language at the same time gazes at the advance of technology and the new codes that come as consequence, which put in tension subjects like ways of thinking, knowledge and historicity. By questioning the future of writing in a digital world, Flusser guarantees that it depends on the capacity of transcoding. This concept is crucial here to navigate into our main object.
