Doctoral Thesis in Fine Arts, specialty Art Sciences, presented to the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, 2011. Supervision by Professor Margarida Calado.
The research presented resulted from an interdisciplinary study between Aesthetics and Art History and constituted a pioneering work in terms of the object of study and its approaches, but especially for the contributions it may bring to the development of medieval studies, particularly in the field of mentalities and their relationship with the production of images.
