Politics as a form of expression

Abstract

Starting from an analysis on the semiotic notion of "way of life", this text will try to explore the concepts and ways in the field of politics in order to verify a possible correlation between the plane of expression (forms, manners and ways) and a level of content (aesthetic, axiological, ethical) in the field of politics. The text will explore the possible articulation between levels of relevance (from the gesture to the political practice and strategy, to the "world view" and to the "meta-semiotic" policies) of all the semiotic elements of which the political is set up.

The study of syntactic logics, rhythmic and tense regimes, enunciative strategies and forms of representation, appearance forms and modes of existence of the political in its different forms and discursive expression materials, will allow to outline a typology of "Semiotic styles of the political" as "way of being in the world" or as "ways of life" beyond the simple "political making". The object of this paper will therefore be to put in correlation the "how" with the value forms of the political.
