Preliminary questioning to fashion criticism

Abstract

This text elaborates upon the formulation of the difficulties faced by those who wish to elaborate a scientific study on fashion and aims to propose ways of overcoming them. After recalling the etymology of the term, this text draws attention to two questions prior to the study of fashion: the understanding of the nature of intersubjective processes that obey to its paradoxical logic and the understanding of the language games that, by using devices extrinsic to this logic, eventually regulate the logical paradoxes that constitute the phenomena of fashion.
