Resumo

Our contribution presents the evolution of an Andalusī Castle that eventually transformed in Madina as the Catholic Kings cornered of Granada Kingdom. It collects and translates Andalusī Writings over the Malaga town of Coín, which administratively centralized Malaga western sector and preserve its territorial integrity in the Nasrid Period. Tracing its history from the 10th to the 15th century, since it was under the control of 'Umar ibn Hafsun until it was fortified as a frontier town by Abd al-Rahman III and, without falling into generalities, we will be witnesses to how the border moves back to the advancing christian troops and how the andalusī population retracts and focuses on the Kingdom of Granada.
