Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

All submissions will be evaluated by an editor to determine if they meet the objectives and scope of the journal. Suitable works will be sent for blind peer review before deciding whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before submitting, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included in the submission, such as photos, documents, or data sets. All identified authors in the submission must consent to being listed as authors. When appropriate, the research must be approved by an ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may reject a submission if it does not meet minimum quality standards. Before submitting, ensure that the study's design and research argument are well-structured and articulated. The title should be concise, and the abstract should be self-sufficient. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to evaluate the paper. Once satisfied that your submission meets this standard, follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Articles should be between 40,000 and 80,000 characters with spaces, including notes and bibliography.

References

The Chicago Style citation and bibliography system should be followed.

References should be cited within the body of the text. Remember that footnotes should not be used for references.

At the end of the article, the sources cited throughout the text should be listed in alphabetical order by the authors' last names.

Book reviews are not generally subject to scientific peer review but are assessed by the editorial board. They must align with the journal's scope. Book reviews should not have their own title, but rather the title of the reviewed work and the author's name.

Reviews should be five to eight pages long, initially presenting the full reference of the work, in 14-point bold font, single-spaced, centered, without an abstract, keywords, references at the end of the text, or citations exceeding three lines or not from the work itself.

The review author's name should appear three lines below the reference (single-spaced), followed by an asterisk, referring to a footnote with the author's qualifications; institution, faculty, department, or graduate program, city, country, and email address.

The review text should start seven single spaces below the author's name, in 12-point Times New Roman font, 1.5 spacing, justified, with a 1.25 cm indentation for the beginning of each paragraph.

Interviews

Interviews are not generally subject to scientific peer review, but are assessed by the editorial board. They must align with the journal's scope, and include the place and date of the interview.

The author's name should appear three lines below the title (14-point bold Times New Roman font, single-spaced, centered), following the same guidelines as for book reviews.

In the interview body (12-point justified Times New Roman), the names of the interviewer and interviewee should precede their respective paragraphs in bold. After the first occurrence, names can be abbreviated to initials.

At the end of the interview, the place and date of its occurrence should be noted, italicized, aligned right, two lines below the text body.

When submitting the proposal, images with a resolution of 200 dpi, minimum 800 pixels and maximum 1600 pixels (for digitized files of non-digital images), or 72 dpi in full HD for web elements, in PNG or JPG format, should be submitted in separate files via the journal platform, properly identified as: figure_01, figure_02, etc.
