This essay aims to critically revisit Diversidade e Unidade em Fernando Pessoa, which is, according to its author, Jacinto do Prado Coelho, an example of “immanent critique”. It aims to discuss this immanent critique, analyzing its methodological assumptions and its hermeneutical consequences, contextualizing it within the critical work of Prado Coelho.
